What We Do: Empowering Mississippi's Youngest Learners

The Mississippi Early Childhood Association (MsECA) is a leading advocate for the well-being and development of young children in the state. Through various programs and initiatives, MsECA is committed to educating parents, caregivers, and educators on the importance of early childhood education and development. By fostering stakeholder connections, MsECA creates a supportive network that promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing. Additionally, MsECA actively advocates for policies and initiatives that prioritize the needs of young children, ensuring that their voices are heard at local, state, and national levels. Through its dedication to early childhood education, MsECA strives to provide every child in Mississippi with the best possible start in life.

Educate – MsECA serves as a source of early childhood expertise and education for practitioners across the state.  MsECA hosts an annual conference and offers mini-conferences through our local community affiliates.

Connect—MsECA is an organization that brings together early childhood professionals from various backgrounds. We are Teachers, Administrators, Early Interventionists, Higher Education Faculty, Parents, Service Providers, Trainers, Advocates, Leaders, Curriculum Developers, Decision Makers, and Practitioners.

Advocate—MsECA works to increase awareness of issues that impact early childhood at both the state and federal levels. We have been involved in advising state agencies and policy makers on how to support the education and development of Mississippi’s youngest citizens. MsECA advocates at our State Capitol and our Nation's Capitol.
